SEEKING SUMMER 2027 INTERNSHIP

I build systems at the intersection of hardware and software.

I'm an Electrical & Computer Engineering student at UT Austin interested in embedded systems, integrated circuits, and computer architecture. I'm always looking for opportunities to design, build, debug, and learn by creating things from scratch.

Projects

Embedded systems projects spanning hardware, firmware, and PCB design.

Smart LED Matrix Display

Jun – Aug 2026
ESP32-S3C++FreeRTOS2× HUB75 64×32KiCad PCBSpotifyOpen-MeteoTodoistFinnhub

A Wi-Fi connected 128×32 RGB desk dashboard displaying Spotify, weather, stocks, tasks, and more in real time.

FreeRTOS tasks + render loop

uptime via watchdogs

Built

  • Spotify now-playing: live progress bar + scrolling track/artist
  • Weather, Todoist tasks controlled by iphone app, stock quotes, NTP-synchronized clock
  • Dedicated FreeRTOS task per API; render loop never blocks
  • Self-healing watchdogs recover from Wi-Fi failures, TLS stalls, and crashes
  • Custom PCB in KiCad, fabbed by JLCPCB

Challenges

  • Diagnosed sagging supply rails under peak panel load
  • Burned-out a barrel connector: learned connector current ratings matter
  • Signal-integrity glitches on jumper wires motivated the custom PCB redesign
  • Added a dedicated HTTP mutex after discovering the TLS client wasn't thread safe

Donkey Kong Handheld

Jan – Apr 2026
MSPM0+bare-metal Ccustom PCBST7735 TFTADC / DACinterrupt-driven FSMs

A fully playable Donkey Kong clone running bare-metal at 80 MHz MSPM0+. Built as the final project for ECE 319K.

Features

  • Up to 10 barrels following randomized precomputed paths
  • Table-driven jump physics for easy gameplay tuning
  • DAC sound effects and bilingual UI selected via slide potentiometer
  • Custom PCB integrating MCU, TFT display, buttons, ADC input, and DAC audio

Engineering Challenges

  • Three interrupt timers (SysTick, TIMG12, TIMG0) drive game logic while keeping SPI communication out of interrupt context
  • Dirty-rectangle rendering maintains smooth frame rates over a bandwidth-limited SPI display
  • Designed collision detection and animation systems that remained responsive within tight CPU and memory constraints
  • Transitioned from a breadboard prototype to a fully assembled custom PCB

Experience

Summer 2026

Blue Sky Infrastructure · AI & Operations Intern

Researched exploratory waste management opportunities for Class I injection wells, explored avenues to leverage Anthropic to make python scripts to automate QGIS mapping and dense dataset analysis.

Summer 2024

NASA Johnson Space Center · Intern, Humanworks Lab (ER3)

Designed and simulated PODIUM exercise-device components in Creo CAD for the ISS PODIUM strength-training system used in microgravity research.

Beyond the resume

Outside of engineering, you'll usually find me following baseball statistics (yes, I'll explain why your favorite hitter is overrated), playing water polo (I captained my high school's varsity team), or trying to keep my unreasonable Settlers of Catan win rate alive.

Quality assurance on all hardware projects is handled by the two english golden retrievers pictured here. They have yet to approve a first revision.
